Rockingham County hired Luten Bridge to build a bridge across a river. Luten Bridge began construction, but before they completed the bridge, the County announced that they no longer wanted the bridge and would not pay for it.
That announcement is a breach of the contract (for reasons we will discuss later in the course). After the announcement, Luten Bridge completed the construction of the bridge.
